Four cigarette brands become more expensive on the BiH market

(Patria) - The Indirect Taxation Authority of Bosnia and Herzegovina has announced that prices have changed for four cigarette brands available on the BiH market.

As they stated, new retail prices for Camel, Winston, LD, and Sobranie cigarettes are in effect as of today.

Thus, a pack of cigarettes will increase in price by an average of 0.20 BAM. Read more detailed prices below.

We remind you that the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH adopted a Decision on determining the amounts of specific and minimum excise duties on cigarettes and the amount of excise duties on smoking tobacco, which apply from January 1, 2025.

From January 1, 2025, excise duty is paid on cigarettes, as follows:

proportional excise duty at a rate of 42% of the retail price of cigarettes
specific excise duty in the amount of 82.50 BAM per 1,000 pieces, i.e., 1.65 BAM per pack of 20 cigarettes.

For packages different from those specified in paragraph (1), point b) of this article, the specific excise duty is paid proportionally to the number of pieces in the package.
