
(Patria) - Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on an official visit to the Republic of Croatia, where he was welcomed in Zagreb by Prime Minister Andrej Plenković with the highest state honors.
Modi emphasized that India and Croatia are connected by common values – democracy, the rule of law, pluralism, and equality, and announced the strengthening of cooperation in the sectors of the defense industry, pharmaceuticals, the IT sector, renewable energy sources, shipbuilding, and cyber security.
Plenković stated that four cooperation agreements have been signed in agriculture, culture, science, and education, including an agreement on cooperation between the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb and Indian universities.
Both prime ministers also discussed global issues, including the war in Ukraine, tensions in the Middle East, and the fight against terrorism.
This is the first official visit of an Indian prime minister to Croatia.
