You will significantly extend your phone's lifespan by taking care of its battery

(Patria) - Mobile phones are a necessity or a habit for most of us nowadays. But have you ever wondered why today's phones have such a short lifespan?

Mostly due to mistakes that most of us make, reports Krstarica.

First of all, you need to maintain your mobile phone properly and know how to charge it correctly. If you don't know and do it wrong, your phone will certainly have a shorter lifespan.

So, what are the mistakes we make?

Leaving the charger plugged in

Most of us don't think of this as problematic, but it certainly is. Firstly, leaving the charger plugged in increases electricity bills, and it is also dangerous.

The transformer releases heat, which can again lead to a fire or a short circuit in the transformer, and this can cause a fire.

Draining the battery

Mobile phone batteries are made of lithium and work in charging cycles. If you let your battery drain completely, you are actually slowly destroying your device.

You also shouldn't charge to 100 percent, nor leave the mobile on the charger for longer than that. Charging to full actually shortens the lifespan due to the limited number of charging cycles.

Additionally, leaving your mobile phone on the charger overnight increases electricity bills, interrupts charging cycles, and can cause the device to overheat.

Using the phone

Draining the battery while charging puts a great strain on the battery itself. If you need to do something on your phone, take it off the charger, and after you're done – put it back on the charger. That is the safest.

Using various chargers

When you buy a new mobile phone, you also get a suitable charger. Therefore, always use that one, not other chargers that are available to you.

The charging power is different for each charger and mobile, and it is important to always charge with the appropriate power.

However, it is always better to use a wall socket for charging than other devices, such as laptops. Definitely keep that in mind!
