Youth Disperse and Announce Protests for Tomorrow: MUP KS Officers Attacked One Young Man!

Latest:

Three hours after the initial gathering, Sarajevo's youth decided to disperse and end the protests, announcing they would gather tomorrow.

The entire protest almost escalated into violence when, during an attempt to block the road near the Skenderija hall, MUP KS officers attacked a young man who introduced himself as Ibrahim, and threatened him. According to Ibrahim, they told him "people are impatient because their families are waiting for them at home," after which he replied to the police officers "that a mother is waiting for her child and will not see them." However, everything ended peacefully after the police withdrew.

At 5:55 PM, young people who have been protesting since 3:00 PM are located at Skenderija and near the BiH Parliament.

After hours of activities, the youth clearly stated: "We demand the resignation of the Sarajevo Canton Government!".

Earlier:

(Patria) - After the official end of the protest, citizens who came in large numbers to the intersection near the National Museum today headed towards the General Hospital to send messages of support to Ella Jovanović, and once again call for those responsible for the tragedy to be identified.

We feel betrayed and sad, I don't think anyone is indifferent, and so many people are here to show it, said a citizen of Sarajevo during the march towards the General Hospital, adding that she is proud of the large number of children in the column.

All participants raised one hand as a message of “enough”.

Otherwise, a small group of citizens is still near the National Museum and is blocking the intersection, i.e., traffic.

After showing support for Ella Jovanović in front of the General Hospital, citizens came to the Parliament of Bosnia and Herzegovina, blocked traffic, and demanded that drivers get out of their stopped vehicles. They have no intention of leaving until responsibility is determined.

"Justice" and "Resignations", "Thieves", are the messages echoing through the center of the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

"They change their fleet every year, and we have old trams," are the messages from the citizens.

At the same time, young people are blocking the intersection near the BiH Parliament and at Skenderija.

We remind you that after the tram accident that occurred on Thursday, Ella Jovanović is fighting for her life in the State Hospital, and her condition remains uncertain and critical.

In that accident, Erdoan Morankić died, and three other people were injured.
