Minister Aida Salčinović: Public calls for support to health associations published, we invite you to apply!

(Patria) - The Zenica-Doboj Canton continues with concrete and strong support for the civil sector in the field of healthcare.

The Ministry of Health of the Zenica-Doboj Canton will publish three public calls today for financing programs and projects of health associations in 2025. These are public calls intended for: associations gathering patients with malignant diseases – in the amount of 30,000 KM, diabetic associations – in the amount of 30,000 KM, and other health associations from the canton area – in the amount of 40,000 KM.

This practice of direct financing of health associations was initiated last year and represents a reform measure introduced by the Ministry of Health led by Minister Aida Salčinović. This year, the ministry proudly continues the implementation of this program for the second consecutive time, thereby establishing continuity of support for the health civil sector in a systematic and transparent manner.

- When we first launched this model last year, we wanted to clearly convey that health associations are not on the margins, but are an important partner in patient care and public education. Today, for the second year in a row, we repeat that message and make it concrete support - said Minister Aida Salčinović.

On this occasion, she invited all health associations to apply for the public calls.

- This is an opportunity to jointly build a healthcare system that recognizes and appreciates the role of associations as an extended arm of the health system. Together, we can contribute to better health, greater awareness, and a better quality of life for our citizens - stated Minister Salčinović.

Through these calls, the Ministry of Health will support projects focused on: protection of patients' rights, health promotion, education and counseling for patients, preventive and supportive activities for the most vulnerable categories of the population.
