(Patria) - Mark Zuckerberg sold shares of his company Meta Platforms worth about $190 million in November.
This is his first sale since 2021, after the value of Meta shares jumped this year.
More than 500,000 shares were sold in filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Business Insider writes.
Meta shares crashed in 2022, only to erase those losses after a 166 percent increase this year.
Zuckerberg has thus rejoined the ranks of the top 10 billionaires on the Bloomberg index, taking ninth place with an estimated net worth of $116 billion.
Meta, which is behind Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, has benefited from a new wave of investor excitement around Big Tech amid the accelerated growth of artificial intelligence.
Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan have pledged to donate 99 percent of their Meta shares to charitable causes during their lifetime.
Zuckerberg first signed the Giving Pledge, a philanthropic commitment led by Warren Buffett and Bill Gates in 2010.
