(Patria) - The election of a judge of the Constitutional Court of BiH is an issue that determines the future of Bosnia and Herzegovina and must not be a currency with which the "Troika" parties pay for entry into power and seats for their cadres, believes the Vice President of the Federation, Refik Lendo.

"The House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament must, at the session scheduled for June 21, elect a person with experience, and professional and moral integrity as a judge of the Constitutional Court of BiH, not party cadres who do not have the references for appointment to such a position.

Therefore, I call first on the members of the House of Representatives' Election and Appointment Committee from the SDP, Our Party, and People and Justice to send the entire list of candidates to the House of Representatives, from which the representatives will have the opportunity to choose the best one, not just one name insisted upon by the HDZ.

If the representatives of the "Troika" parties agree to pay for positions in power in this mandate by appointing a judge insisted upon by the HDZ, it will in practice mean handing over that position to the HDZ for the next 20 years, and very likely unforeseeable harmful consequences for the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

I want to believe that among the representatives of these parties there are enough who put the interests of the state above personal and party interests, and that they will not agree to such a disastrous party trade that would also cause them immense damage, because the citizens would certainly not forgive them for selling state interests for power in one mandate," Lendo emphasized.
