KV SBiH Sarajevo: Instead of Excavators, We Got Tractors - Full Support for Farmers' Demands

(Patria) - The Cantonal Board of the Party for Bosnia and Herzegovina gives full support to the justified demands of farmers in Sarajevo Canton.

"We demand the payment of incentives for 2025, because farmers also have to live and pay their obligations. Although the Troika, amid its sea of false promises, announced excavators, we never saw them. Instead of excavators, we now see tractors whose gathering in front of the Sarajevo Canton Government has been forcibly banned. The KS Government thinks that by violently preventing gatherings it will cover up the justified revolt of farmers," they said from the KV Party for BiH Sarajevo and added:

"A logical question arises, why are tractors on the streets of Sarajevo Canton?".

"The Sarajevo Canton Government has brought the Canton to the brink of bankruptcy. The Canton's finances are being systematically destroyed, and all budget users see and feel it, except those whose job and task it is. The Canton's budget is unrealistically planned, revenues are falsely presented, and obligations were created as if revenues would cover them. Now we have delays
in the payment of obligations and we are moving towards budget insolvency. Obligations will become larger and larger, and revenues smaller and smaller," they announced from KV SBiH.

They add: "The Party for BiH has persistently pointed out this budget imbalance, but the Sarajevo Canton Government did not heed the warnings, but instead only contributed to the financial collapse with its actions. The Sarajevo Canton Government now has to close budget obligations with loans, and this is happening for the first time in KS".

"The Troika is hiding the real state of the budget in every way and is trying through marketing to convince budget users, and all citizens, that the situation is stable.

The situation is far from stable and will become more and more difficult, because revenues are lower, and obligations are larger and are coming due. The budget austerity measures introduced by the Government are late and will not and cannot contribute to stopping the negative trends. Instead of excavators, we got tractors. Finally, we demand an urgent session of the Sarajevo Canton Assembly with only one item on the agenda: Execution of the budget as of August 31, 2025, with
a projection until the end of the year," they concluded from KV SBiH.
