
(Patria) - The average monthly net salary paid per employee in legal entities in Croatia for September was EUR 1,156, which is nominally 14.2% higher year-on-year, and 7% higher in real terms, according to data from the Croatian Bureau of Statistics (DZS).
Compared to the August salary this year, the average net salary for September was nominally 0.6% lower, and 1.1% lower in real terms.
The highest average monthly net salary paid per employee in legal entities for September was paid in air transport, amounting to EUR 1,857, and the lowest in clothing manufacturing, amounting to EUR 754.
According to the DZS report, the median net salary for September was EUR 998, meaning that half of the employees had less, and half had more than that amount.
The average monthly gross salary per employee in legal entities for September was EUR 1,596, which is nominally 1.1% lower than in August, and 1.6% lower in real terms.
Year-on-year, the average gross salary is nominally 16.5% higher, and 9.2% higher in real terms.
As with the net salary, the highest average monthly gross salary per employee in legal entities for September was in air transport, amounting to EUR 2,692, and the lowest in clothing manufacturing, amounting to EUR 987.
For the period from January to September, the average monthly net salary paid per employee in legal entities was EUR 1,133, which is nominally 12.5% higher than in the same period in 2022, and 3.2% higher in real terms.
In September, there were an average of 167 paid hours, which is 8.7% less than in August this year.
The highest number of paid hours was in the water transport and mining support activities (175), and the lowest in social work activities without accommodation (143).
The average monthly net salary per hour for September was EUR 6.75, which is 8% higher than in August, and 18.8% higher than in the same month last year, according to DZS data.
