SDP, NIP, NS/BHIKF Clubs: Adopt urgent legal solution to prevent salary increases for officials

(Patria) - The clubs of MPs of the SDP BiH, NiP, and NS/BHIKF welcome the unanimous decision of the BiH Presidency, which, at the proposal of Denis Bećirović, adopted and sent for parliamentary procedure the Bill on Amendments to the Law on Salaries and Allowances in the Institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

"Bećirović's concrete and clearly defined proposal is precisely in line with what the MPs of these three clubs clearly emphasized during discussions - support for the budget, support for salary increases for civil servants, soldiers, police and state employees, but also a clearly expressed opposition to salary increases for the highest state officials.

A responsible approach and a unanimous stance by the BiH Presidency, which aims to prevent salary increases for members of the BiH Presidency, ministers in the Council of Ministers, members of the BiH Parliament, and others, is a positive signal to citizens that their voice is heard and their justified dissatisfaction is understood.

This responsible political move fully enjoys the support of our three clubs and at the same time represents an example for other politicians that with a little effort, adequate and fair solutions can be found. For our part, we will make the maximum contribution to the adoption of this legal solution, and we call on the members of other clubs to do it all together," reads the statement from the Clubs of SDP, NIP, and NS/BHIK in the House of Representatives, signed by the club chairs Saša Magazinović, Sabina Ćudić, and Nihad Omerović.
