How a Gulf country became a global tourist attraction

(Patria) - Six months after the end of the World Cup, the first in the Middle East and one of the best ever held, the State of Qatar is striving to position itself as a leading and favorite destination on the global tourism map. The Arab Ministerial Council for Tourism (AMCT) has meanwhile declared Doha the capital of Arab tourism for 2023, emphasizing precisely the „prominent role of Qatar in global tourism“.

Since Doha received this prestigious recognition, Qatar's tourism sector has had an incredible start to this year. With more than a million visitors in the first quarter of 2023 alone, this Gulf country recorded the highest number of international arrivals ever in the first months of a year.
