- Blagaj is one of the most beautiful places in Bosnia and Herzegovina, located in the southeast of the country, near the city of Mostar. The settlement is known for its rich history, natural beauty, and unique cultural heritage.

Blagaj has deep roots dating back to ancient times, and later it was an important center during the Middle Ages, when it served as the seat of Duke Stjepan Kosača.

In the Ottoman period, it became an important administrative and cultural center, which is reflected in the architecture and traditions that still adorn the place today.

The fascinating fortress on the hill, 200 meters above the Buna spring, known as Stjepan Grad, has ancient roots, and remains of Illyrian pottery have been found at this site - explains Trogrančić.

He points out that the biggest attraction of Blagaj is the Buna river spring, one of the strongest karst springs in Europe.

Water from the spring emerges from an underground cave system and forms the Buna River, whose clarity and coldness enchant visitors.

The spring is surrounded by high cliffs that further enhance the impressiveness of this natural beauty.

In addition to the Buna spring, there is also the fascinating Bunica river spring, which is directly connected to the Zalomka river, which sinks in Nevesinje. This spring, according to research, is about 70 meters deep.

Next to the Buna spring is the famous Blagaj Tekke, built in the 16th century for dervishes of the Bektashi order. The Tekke, with its authentic architecture, represents a perfect blend of spirituality and nature and is one of the most visited places in Herzegovina.

The peace and tranquility that this place offers attract numerous tourists and pilgrims from all over the world. The Sultan Suleiman Mosque (Careva), built at the beginning of the 16th century, is also located in Blagaj.

Blagaj is an ideal place for lovers of nature, history, and culture. Visitors can enjoy walks, traditional Bosnian cuisine in nearby restaurants, and explore cultural attractions like Stjepan Grad.

- Whether you are a fan of natural beauty, architecture, or spirituality, Blagaj will surely delight you.

Blagaj also has an adrenaline attraction, a climbing site that attracts guests and athletes from all over the world - says Trogrančić.
