Oldtimer exhibition attracts attention of Sarajevans

An international exhibition of oldtimer cars and motorcycles was held in front of the National Theatre Sarajevo. According to Nedim Husić, president of the Oldtimer Club Sarajevo, these are the 12th oldtimer gatherings, held as part of the project "Sarajevo-Heart of Europe", reports the BH News Agency Patria.

- We have 35 participants with cars and about ten motorcycles from Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, and BiH. We have been socializing since Friday evening. Yesterday we drove a loop from Ilidža to Baščaršija, we were in Dobrinja, and a skill test was organized on Wilson's Promenade – Husić told NAP.

Trophies were awarded by category, and today citizens will choose the most beautiful vehicle, the oldest and best-restored, as well as awards for guests.

At this exhibition, we also met Tarik Mutevelić from Sarajevo, who is exhibiting his red Mercedes for the first time at such an event.

- This Mercedes 220, model year 1954, was bought in Busovača, and the restoration took 10 years. It was completed at the end of last year and cost 30,000 KM – Mutevelić told Patria.

Mutevelić states that he drives this vehicle once or twice a year, and he is currently restoring two more.
