Urgent procedure passed, Džaferović announced he will not support the Budget but will not be an obstacle

(Patria) - Minister of Finance and Treasury of BiH Srđan Amidžić presented the Budget for 2025 at today's urgent session of the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliament.

He said that the Budget framework is 1.5 billion KM.

"The urgency of the procedure is reflected in the fact that already in January, employees in BiH institutions would receive increased salaries and be paid a compensation of 1,000 KM," said Amidžić.

Then a discussion developed regarding the urgency of the procedure, and Marina Pendeš and Nikola Špirić stated that they would vote for the urgent procedure.

Šefik Džaferović said that delegates from the Bosniak Club from SDA, he and Safet Softić, will not be against the Budget, but neither for it. This applies to both the procedure and the budget itself.

"Everything we have seen is very compromised, permeated with populism. These are the reasons why we will not be for the budget, but with our abstention, we will not hinder its adoption. The budget is necessary for BiH," said Džaferović.

Speaker of the House Kemal Ademović called on all actors to sit down as soon as possible and try to find a solution for BHRT and cultural institutions of importance to the state.

With seven votes, the urgent procedure for considering the Budget was passed.
