Hennessey Venom is the most powerful supercar with a manual transmission in the world

(Patria) - After Aston Martin impressed us with the Valour and Valiant featuring manual transmissions in supercars with over 700 hp, American Hennessey is now raising the bar much higher.

Namely, the new Hennessey Venom F5-M has a six-speed manual transmission and an incredible 1,842 hp, making it convincingly the most powerful road car with a manual transmission in the world.

Manual transmissions in sports cars have definitely come back into fashion, and Hennessey has taken advantage of this by installing a "manual" in a car based on the existing Venom F5 Roadster, one of the most powerful hypercars in the world.

The manual transmission here replaces the seven-speed automated transmission and is connected to the same 6.6-liter twin-turbo V8, which, in addition to immense power, also develops 1,618 Nm of torque. It sounds like a crazy idea, but in the hands of a good driver, it could be extremely fun.

Hennessey does not reveal any performance data, although it is inevitable that the F5-M, which costs $2.65 million, will not be as fast as the automatic version in accelerations.

People simply cannot shift gears as quickly as advanced automatics. However, we do not believe that any of the 12 buyers of the limited series of this car will find that too important, because driving with a manual transmission has many other advantages and provides much more emotion, writes Autoklub.

Although the change of transmission is a major novelty, it is not the only feature that distinguishes the F5-M from the regular F5 Roadster. The car with a manual transmission also gets a huge rear "fin" 140 centimeters long, stretching from behind the seats, where the roof air intake is located, to the rear edge of the car.

There are also a few changes in the interior. In addition to the clutch pedal and gearshift, there is a wider center console where the previously vertically stacked circular air vents have been replaced by a pair of horizontally arranged ones.
