Chaos at Walmart: 11 people stabbed in random attack

(Patria) - At a Walmart supermarket in the American city of Traverse City, Michigan, a brutal knife attack occurred on Saturday in which at least 11 people were injured.

As confirmed by Grand Traverse County Sheriff Michael Shea, the attack was completely random — a 42-year-old man lunged at passersby with a knife inside the store. According to initial information, the attack had no racial, political or religious motives.

The attacker was subdued and detained by citizens, then taken into custody.

The local hospital announced that all 11 injured — six men and five women — are currently receiving treatment. Six people are in critical condition, while at least three have undergone emergency surgeries.

Traverse City, known as a peaceful town in the northern U.S., on the shores of Lake Michigan, has been shaken by this violence which, as local authorities note, has disturbed the entire community.
