Football Association confirms: Ermin Mahmić has earned the right to play for the Dragons

(Patria) - After a long and demanding process, with great struggle and numerous administrative challenges, the Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina today informed the public that Ermin Mahmić has earned the right to play for the senior national team of our country.

"This is a great victory for our sports sector, which has worked persistently and dedicatedly on this case, protecting the interests of our national team and believing in the potential of a young player who now officially becomes part of our future," the Association stated.

They added that none of this would have been possible without the great desire of the footballer himself, who from the very beginning wanted to play only for the Dragons.

The FIFA Players' Status Committee accepted the request of Mahmić and the Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina for a change of sporting nationality, thus this talented midfielder has earned the right to play for Bosnia and Herzegovina and will be available to coach Sergej Barbarez for upcoming challenges.

Ermin Mahmić was born on March 14, 2005, and currently plays for the Czech club Slovan Liberec.

This season, in 28 official matches, he has scored 7 goals and provided 5 assists, confirming the quality and potential that place him among the most promising young players.

Before coming to Slovan, he played for the Austrian club Lafnitz.

He has already worn the jersey of Bosnia and Herzegovina through youth selections, and now the biggest stage awaits him, along with the opportunity to show his talent before the entire nation.
