According to Variety.com, the film "Tabija" by BiH director Igor Drljača, along with two other films, "Invisible" by Pablo Giorgelli and "Darkness" by Castro Zimbron, based on conceptual art, are among the 15 projects selected for co-production and networking of films in development this May at the 10th Cinefondation-Atelier of the Cannes Film Festival (Cannes Film Festival, ed.) from Latin America, Eastern Europe, Asia, and Africa, reports the Patria News Agency (NAP).
The foundation began its work in 2005 as part of the Cannes Film Festival. It will bring together directors and producers and invite them to the Cannes Film Festival from May 16 to 22 to meet with potential co-producers and managers, as well as experts who will advise them on the development of their projects, NAP reports.
Otherwise, "Tabija" is a modern film about a generation of young people in post-war BiH. The film won the Eurimages award (award for the development of the most interesting future European co-production) within the Rotterdam CineMart Film Festival, and last year it was awarded the Exelence award at the Sarajevo Film Festival.
At the beginning of the war, Igor Drljača and his family moved to Canada, where he earned a master's degree in film at York University. During his studies, he made several short films, and his debut feature film "Krivina" was seen by, among others, the audience of the Sarajevo Film Festival and the Rotterdam Film Festival.
