Film "Bosanke": During the aggression, 5,360 women defended BiH in the Army ranks

The documentary film "Bosanke" by authors Esma Velagić and Sanela Kapetanović, speaks about the great and important role of women in the defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina during the Serbian aggression from '92 to '95, and its premiere will be held on May 6th at the Youth Center Sarajevo starting at 6 PM, reports the BH News Agency Patria.

More than 5,360 women defended BiH in the ranks of the Army of BiH during the aggression, and 14 of them are recipients of the highest war recognition "Golden Lily". The value of these women is mostly minimized today, and the state provides them with no or almost no benefits.

Members of the Army of BiH went to the front lines, mostly driven by patriotism. Some of them lost their husbands at the very beginning of the aggression, which further motivated them to go to the front defense lines. The film's authors are Esma Velagić and Sanela Kapetanović. The producer is Omer Edo Hadrović, while the co-producer is the wartime commander of the ARBiH, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nedžad Ajnadžić, writes Patria.
