Fazla's new song dedicated to brave artists who helped Sarajevans endure the siege

(Patria) - Bosnian singer-songwriter Zlatan Fazlić Fazla has released a new song titled "Teatarska".

After the song "1425 Days", this is his new work from the cycle "Sarajevo Siege - 1425 Days".

This song is dedicated to all Sarajevo artists and cultural workers who, through their brave and active work, made it easier for the citizens of Sarajevo to endure the difficult, tragic days of the siege.

It speaks of domestic, as well as foreign artists who brought light and beauty into the darkness of wartime Sarajevo, as well as citizens who, under shelling and sniper fire, rushed to concerts, plays, exhibitions, and promotions, trying to preserve their sanity and dignity.

In the period from April 1992 to February 1996, 3,102 artistic events were held in besieged Sarajevo.

182 theatre premieres with over 2,000 performances were staged, 48 concerts by the Sarajevo Philharmonic and 177 art exhibitions were held, 263 books were published, and 156 documentaries were promoted.

Books are being written today about the phenomenon of Sarajevo's wartime theatre, and with this song, Fazla reminds us of those poignant days and the people whose work we must not forget.

Fazla is the author of the music, lyrics, and arrangement for the song "Teatarska". The recording was done at the TO PROFI studio.

The song was mixed by Adnan Mušanović, and the female vocal is by Aida Mušanović-Arsić. Video material was provided by BHRT, and the video was created by Alan Savić.

Fazla continues to work in the studio on new songs from the cycle "Sarajevo Siege - 1425 Days".
