Elektroprivreda BiH seeks return to previous state in the case of HE Neretva, as Mostar administration acted illegally

(Patria) - Bosniaks from the City Council of Mostar warned two days ago that a major fraud is being attempted through new cadastral solutions.

Namely, they warned that the owner of 207 parcels has been changed, and the illegality is such that even the Salakovac Hydroelectric Power Plant is registered to Elektroprivreda HZ HB.

Today, Elektroprivreda BiH also announced, informing the public that it is aware of the recent actions of the Department for Urbanism and Construction, Service for Cadastre of the City of Mostar, which changed the holder of rights in the cadastral register from Hidroelektrane na Neretvi to JP Elektroprivreda HZ HB d.d. - Mostar.

“JP Elektroprivreda BiH emphasizes that Hidroelektrane na Neretvi operates within JP Elektroprivreda BiH and as such is registered in the court register,” they state in their reaction and add:

“Considering the fact that Hidroelektrane na Neretvi, i.e., JP Elektroprivreda BiH, was not included as a party in this administrative procedure of the Cadastre Service of the City of Mostar, JP Elektroprivreda BiH has taken all necessary and available legal actions, mechanisms, and activities to protect the rights and interests of its property in the area of the City of Mostar.”

EP BIH states that immediately upon learning of this, they submitted a request for an inspection and a request for access to the case file, which has not been granted to them to this day.

“A request for recognition as a party to the proceedings, as well as a request for return to the previous state, has been submitted, based on which a decision from the administrative body that conducted the proceedings is expected. In order to protect its rights, JP Elektroprivreda BiH will, as before, continue to use all regular and extraordinary legal remedies available to it,” they state and add:

“JP Elektroprivreda BiH calls on the administrative bodies of the City of Mostar to take appropriate actions and activities without delay, acting in accordance with valid regulations and the principles of legality, responsibility, and protection of property rights.”
