(Patria) - Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić addressed the public from the Palace in Belgrade regarding the appointment of a prime minister-designate.
Vučić announced that Ðuro Macut will be the prime minister-designate for the new Serbian Government.
He was born in Belgrade. He graduated, obtained his master's degree, and his doctorate from the Faculty of Medicine in Belgrade, where he is a full professor.
He said that the Serbian Government faces a difficult task in confronting challenges from the region, dealing with American sanctions, and increasing investment levels.
"To preserve peace and not use force until the very last moment when it is forced to use it," Vučić said.
The deadline for the election of the new Serbian government in the National Assembly expires on April 18 at midnight.
After consultations with parliamentary parties held on Wednesday and Thursday, the leader of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) and outgoing Prime Minister Miloš Vučević said that the party supports the formation of a new government.
