Bypass around Stolac to be completed by September 1st

(Patria) - From September 1st, the road through Stolac towards Neum should be of even higher quality, announced the Public Enterprise (J.P.) Roads of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Currently, works are underway on the construction of a bypass around Stolac, which will enable smooth traffic flow for all vehicle categories. The project includes the construction of three roundabouts, a bridge over the Bregava river, and 1.7 km of road.

All works on the bypass construction will be completed by August 31, 2023, and no extensions of deadlines are expected.

The construction of this bypass will enable unimpeded traffic flow for all vehicle categories, which is currently not possible as traffic has so far passed through the town of Stolac and was not permitted for vehicles over 3.5 tons,” stated J.P. Roads of FBiH.

Works on the construction of the M17.3 Neum – Stolac main road, section Stari Neum – Drenovac, with a length of 36.5 km, were completed in June 2022.

The total value of this project, including funds from the budget of the Government of FBiH, own funds of J.P. Roads of FBiH, as well as loan funds and expropriation costs, amounts to 96,523,354.33 KM.
