(Patria) - Oil prices on the world market fell by more than a dollar per barrel yesterday, after Israel reduced its forces in the southern Gaza Strip and launched a new round of negotiations with Hamas.
In London, the price of Brent crude oil from the North Sea decreased by 1.07 dollars or 1.2 percent and is now 90.10 dollars per barrel.
In New York, the price of light crude oil fell by 85 cents or one percent and stands at 86.06 dollars per barrel.
- Israel's announcement that it will withdraw some ground forces from the Gaza Strip has led to a reduction in geopolitical tensions - said market analyst from UBS Giovanni Staunovo.
An unnamed Hamas official stated earlier that talks with Israel remain at a dead end.
