Central Bank of BiH: Foreign exchange reserves amounted to 15.87 billion BAM at the end of April

(Patria) - Foreign exchange reserves of the Central Bank (CB) of BiH at the end of April this year amounted to 15.87 billion BAM, an increase of 541.6 million BAM (3.5 percent) on an annual basis.

According to CBBiH data on monetary movements, total loans to domestic sectors at the end of April this year amounted to 24.27 billion BAM, with an increase of 224.8 million BAM (0.9 percent) compared to the previous month.

Credit growth was recorded in the household sector by 113.3 million BAM (0.9 percent) and in private enterprises by 139 million BAM (1.4 percent).

Other sectors recorded a decrease in credit growth, namely non-financial public enterprises by 17.8 million BAM (three percent), government institutions by 7.8 million BAM (0.7 percent), and other domestic sectors by 1.8 million BAM (0.7 percent).

The annual growth rate of total loans in April was 8.4 percent, nominally 1.88 billion BAM.

Annual loan growth was recorded in the household sector by 938.4 million BAM (8.4 percent), private enterprises by 863.7 million BAM (9.3 percent), government institutions by 23.2 million BAM (9.7 percent), and other domestic sectors by 85.2 million BAM (50.8 percent).

A decrease in credit growth on an annual basis was recorded in non-financial public enterprises by 25.6 million BAM (4.2 percent).

According to CBBiH data, total deposits of domestic sectors at the end of April this year amounted to 31.92 billion BAM, an increase of 133.2 million BAM (0.4 percent) compared to the previous month.

The annual growth rate of total deposits in April this year was 8.5 percent, which in absolute terms amounts to 2.51 billion BAM.
