(Patria) - At the KS Assembly session on March 29, in addition to the KS Budget, the Proposal of the Decision on giving consent to the Financial Plan of the Sarajevo Canton Health Insurance Fund for 2023 and the Decision on the execution of the Financial Plan of the Sarajevo Canton Health Insurance Fund for 2023 will be considered. The KS Health Insurance Fund budget for 2023 is planned in the amount of 558,680,000 KM, which is 7% more than in 2022. 534,936,500 KM is planned for healthcare.
500,000 KM is planned for the provision of family medicine services in private healthcare institutions.
780,000 KM is planned for the assisted reproduction process, and 98,268,000 KM is planned for medication costs.
One of the measures of the new KS Government is pronatal policy, so public calls will be issued for healthcare institutions that can provide assisted reproduction services to couples who have problems with having children.
According to the records, the KS Health Insurance Fund has 420,000 healthcare beneficiaries, so it is clear why the budget is predominantly directed towards healthcare.
At the KS Assembly session held on Friday, where the new KS Government was confirmed, problems in the functioning of the health system, lack of staff, doctors, and specialists in certain fields of medicine were highlighted.
