British newspaper: Srebrenik among 24 most underrated cities in the world, and the offer is fascinating

(Patria) - Also known as the "royal city", Srebrenik's main attraction is the fascinating fortress located on a hill above the city.

This castle is the best-preserved medieval fortress in BiH and dates back to 1333.

The British newspaper The Sun emphasizes that although it is well-preserved, it was once larger because parts of the structure and walls have collapsed over time.

Regardless, the fortress itself still looks impressive today, simply luring visitors to see it.

"As you walk through the old town, you will see stunning architecture reflected in narrow streets with old, traditional houses. The main square displays a stunning example of Ottoman architecture, where mosques and churches are located next to each other. Each of these buildings has its specific style and historical significance," reports The Sun.

Srebrenik itself is surrounded by incredible natural gems such as Majevica mountain and Ingram lake.

All of this is certainly the reason why Time Out magazine also included Srebrenik on the list of the 24 most underrated destinations in the world at the beginning of the month.

"The very top of Majevica offers incredible views, and the relatively recently discovered lake itself exudes romance. With all this, one should add incredibly delicious food, picturesque cafes, as well as historical monuments, and you will get exactly what every tourist wants from a visit," writes this British newspaper.

The Sun notes that the nearest air transport is from Sarajevo and that a return ticket can be booked for 39 pounds, while an overnight stay for two people in the city costs around 30 pounds.
