Bosch to cut 1,500 jobs

(Patria) - Bosch plans to cut up to 1,500 jobs in two German factories by 2025.

They explain this by adjusting the number of employees to the conditions of changing demand and technologies in the automotive sector.

The magazine Automobilwoche was the first to write about the job cuts, Hina reports.

"Like other companies, we must adjust the number of employees to the order situation, structural changes in the sector, and the market penetration of future technologies.

We see a need to adjust up to 1,500 jobs by the end of 2025 in the areas of development, administration, and sales in the Drives business at the Feuerbach and Schwieberdingen plants," said a Bosch spokesperson.

Bosch also stated that they will try to achieve this by relocating employees to other departments, early retirement, or voluntary redundancy agreements, adding that details are being negotiated with the works council.
