Bećirović discusses strengthening economic ties between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Turkey with representatives of Eksim Holding and AS Group

(Patria) - Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Bećirović met today with representatives of the Turkish company Eksim Holding, one of the leading Turkish groups operating in the fields of energy, trade and food industry. The meeting was also attended by Rusmir Hrvić, Chairman of the Management Board of AS Group.

Bećirović reminded that Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Turkey nurture traditionally friendly relations and that bilateral trade flows are constantly increasing. He pointed out the importance of attracting new investments from Turkey, as well as the need to strengthen the export orientation of the BiH economy. He particularly emphasized the importance of better connectivity with the BiH diaspora in Turkey, whose potential can further strengthen the economic and business ties between the two countries.

During the talks, possibilities for strengthening economic cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Turkey were considered, with a special focus on renewable energy sources, the food industry, infrastructure and trade. Bećirović emphasized that Bosnia and Herzegovina is open to investments that contribute to the creation of new jobs, the transfer of knowledge and technologies, and better connectivity with global markets.

Special importance was given to cooperation in the energy sector, where companies such as Eksim Holding have already demonstrated significant capacities in developing renewable energy projects. In this context, possibilities for investing in projects that will contribute to the energy transition of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions were discussed.

It was highlighted during the talks that Bosnia and Herzegovina can serve as a bridge between the markets of the European Union and the region, and that projects based on partnership and mutual interests are the best way to utilize the comparative advantages of both countries.

At the end of the meeting, it was concluded that there is mutual interest in continuing talks and concretizing cooperation in investment projects that will contribute in the long term to economic development and the strengthening of friendly relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Turkey.

Bećirović emphasized that Bosnia and Herzegovina wants to further improve these positive trends, attracting new investments that will create jobs, modernize industry and strengthen the international competitiveness of domestic companies.
